1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FieRent ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This Platform is owned and operated by Nzama Limited. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users including tenants, landlords, and agents.
2. Description of Service
FieRent is a rental marketplace operated by Nzama Limited that connects tenants with landlords and agents in Ghana. We provide listing discovery, tour booking, and QR-based meeting verification services. FieRent does not own, manage, or control any listed properties.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Listing Accuracy
Landlords and agents are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, descriptions, photos, and availability. Misleading or fraudulent listings may result in account suspension or termination. FieRent reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms or Ghana's rental laws.
5. Tour Bookings & QR Verification
Tour bookings are requests to view a property and are subject to landlord confirmation. The QR code verification system is designed to confirm that in-person meetings took place. Users must not share, duplicate, or manipulate QR verification tokens. Misuse of the verification system may result in account suspension.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Collect fees for viewings that did not occur
- Demand advance rent exceeding legal limits under Ghana law
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Attempt to bypass the QR verification system
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
7. Compliance with Ghana Law
All users must comply with applicable Ghana laws, including the Rent Act 1963 (Act 220) and the Rent Control Act 1986 (PNDCL 138). Landlords must adhere to advance rent limits and legal eviction procedures. See our Know Your Rights page for details.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nzama Limited provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the conduct of other users, or the condition of any property. Nzama Limited is not a party to any rental agreement between tenants and landlords. We are not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from rental transactions.
9. Payments
Payments made through the Platform are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Paystack). Nzama Limited does not hold, store, or have custody of user funds at any time. Payments are held securely by the payment processor until all parties are satisfied with the transaction. Nzama Limited is not a financial institution and does not operate an escrow service. In compliance with Ghana law, we facilitate payment protection but do not take possession of any funds.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using FieRent, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.
11. Termination
Nzama Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-platform notification.
